Inocente Izucar Inspired Nail Art

I was watching a Glass Posse vlog a little while ago were they went to Inocente's art show in New York. I have never heard of her before but it turns out she was the subject of a documentary which won an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short. Her art that I saw in the vlog looked amazing and I knew I wanted to paint one of her pictures on my nails. 

Her painting I choose was shown fully in the vlog and I thought would look really cool as nail art. The colors and everything are not exactly like her painting but am happy with the way it turned out. To get the colors for the girls hair I sponged each color individually. The hardest part was obviously the eye with all those swirls coming down and the tiny eyelashes. It seemed like it took for ever to finish.

Bird Cage Nails

These nails once again were inspired by a shutterstock picture I found. The picture has a bunch of birds in different cute bird cages with dots in the background.

I took a picture of all the colors together because I thought they looked so pretty.

Neon Geometric Nail Art

I came up with the idea for these nails awhile ago. When I was bored and started drawing designs out in my swatch book. So when I had no idea what I wanted to paint I could look in there and choose one. This was the best one I came up with that day.

First painted my nails white, then added striping tape for the triangles. Next I painted the outside of the tape black and sponged silver over it. But once I took the tape off you could see some black and silver on the white. So it may be easier to just paint the white on after the black and silver. After I fixed the white I outlined it in black and put the neon dots on. And finished It off with top coat.

August Challenge: Bold Nail Art

  I didn't really know what bold nails were, probably since to most people all of my nail art could be considered kind bold because its not just plain and one color nail polish. So I looked up bold nails and somehow got the idea for doing some pop artish type nails

August Challenge: Animal Print

I wish I could of done an animal print that hasn't been done before. I tried a could not find a good print. Instead to make the Zebra print nails look cooler and more unique I made them rainbow. For the background to the stripes I used yellow as a base color then sponged a gradient using pink, orange, and yellow. Then with green, blue, and purple made zebra stripes.

August Challenge: Re-Creation Nail Art

Day number twos challenge was to re-create another's design for this I decided to paint Pshiiit's design you can view it here

I started with two coats of Opi nail envy then one coat of China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat. For the base color I used one coat of  Opi Don't Pretzel My Buttons. Once that was dry I painted squiggly lines in all different directions not completely covering up the base color. For that I used Nichole by Opi's Naturally and Hit The Lights, Opi Did It On 'Em, Sinful Shine's Royal Flush and Sally Hanson's Maximum Growth Plus in Copper Glamour. For the Ikat look I used my skinniest brush making like little tick marks and the black I used is Orly Liquid Vinyl.

                

Rainbow stripe Nails

So two days before I painted these I tried to do Gravity Falls themed nails, well that was a huge fail. I didn't like any of the nails and it made me really sad and uninspired. But I love painting my nails too much to stop, i mean every time i go shopping i could look a nail polish the entire time. So I decided to paint these which was way easier then painting cartoons on my nails with nail polish. They are totally not something new and never done before because they are stripes, but I didn't even feel like painting flowers. Good news though I am much more excited to paint my nails for next time because I got my favorite topcoat (china glaze) and don't have to use my now least favorite top coat (O.P.I.).

Ice Cream Nails

Don't these look so cute and yummy.

I started with Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Hard To Get for the base.Then used Orly Coffee Break and Sinful Colors Nirvana for the cone. The ice cream colors are: Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Heart of Stone, Sinful Shine Mardi Gras, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Blue-Away and Lightening, and China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint

The chocolate is China Glaze Foie Gras.And for the sprinkles i used some of the same colors as the ice cream, the same white,Sinful Shine Pragmatic and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fuchsia Flare

Owls Nails

I did owl nails this week modeling them after a Shutterstock  photo I found. And I love them my favs are my thumb and ring finger.
